MARKET ANALYSIS
While keeping the above key findings in mind, I tested and analysed the 6 most popular curating apps.
While keeping the above key findings in mind, I tested and analysed the 6 most popular curating apps.
1. They could be divided into types of tools:
a) discover new sources and content
b) sort or organize content you found
2. They primarily cater for professional content
creators with the aim to further share content.
3. They focus on the latest news, 'save for later',
'discovery' and collecting content.

Opportunity space
Summarised, these tools seem more focused on maximizing online content consumption rather than promoting mindful, focused reading and minimizing information overload. If you need to sort all of the content you find, or find all of the content you want to sort, you are still being exposed to an overwhelming amount of content.
This insight gave me a clear opportunity space for my concept direction: A curating tool where the user can feed the tool with its favourite sources related to a topic, then the tool will scan and sort before delivering curated content in small segments.

USER INTERVIEW
Key findings
I was curious to know how individuals with a keen interest in music are navigating their media habits and how they feel about their learning/ experiences. I conducted qualitative interviews with six participants aged 25-28, focusing on key questions such as 'How do you engage with music news?' and 'How does this impact your overall well-being?'"

EXPLORATION
I wanted to explore how the structure of the content delivery could facilitate both control and choice, while still simplifying the selection process and reducing the amount of information.
Through sketching and discussing simple wireframes, I explored different ideas and settled on a specific concept to develop further. I chose this concept because it best met the project's goals, offered a clear user experience, and was the most practical to implement based on the feedback from the wireframe discussions.
ITERATIONS
Based on feedback saying that the title is the most cruical in deciding what to read, I choose to remove the ingress text - this way the design looks more clean and open for other details, like which publicher/source and estimated reading time.
One simple action rather than multiple choices
Working through the structure of the generating based on user input, I realised that the daily goal should be adjusted each day, as the amount might vary from day to day, depending on the users mood.
